Want to gain confidence as a singer? In my studio you will learn how to: *properly support your sound with breath *release neck and jaw tension in order to free your sound * unlock your unique sound so you can get your voice to that next level! As my student, you will be in a safe and creative space. As a teacher, I will help you define your goals as a singer and tailor my approach to help you reach them. Lizzie is a musical theater singer/actor who has appeared on Broadway (BRIGHT STAR by Steve Martin) and in National Tours (THE ADDAMS FAMILY, A CHRISTMAS STORY) for nearly a decade since graduating from the University of Michigan (BFA Musical Theatre) where she studied with late opera great Shirley Verrett. Her career has also included various concert appearances with orchestras across the US, as well as recording opportunities. She has appeared as a soloist on stage at the Kennedy Center, and at Lincoln Center. Most recently, Lizzie played the role of “Lily” in the Broadway bound production of THE SECRET GARDEN. She grew in a classical music household before moving towards musical theater as a career. Having a mother who is an opera singer with an at home studio has shaped her approach to teaching because it demonstrated that the basics of singing are the same regardless of what style you are singing in. She continues to perform and personally study voice with multiple teachers in order to learn and preserve her own instrument, which helps her to be the best teacher she can be.
