About Liz C.
Liz Culpepper, mezzo-soprano, hails from Austin, TX. She holds degrees in Voice Performance from the University of Texas at Austin (B.A. - Voice; 2015), and the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University (M.M. - Voice; 2017). She is currently completing her Doctorate in Voice. She has performed a number of roles at Indiana University (Suzuki, Madama Butterfly; Mrs. Sedley, Peter Grimes; Madame de Croissy, Dialogues des Carmélites) and has performed in operas at summer music festivals across the country (First Secretary, Nixon in China, Princeton Festival; Suzuki, Madama Butterfly, Brevard Music Center).
Before beginning her studies in Opera at Indiana University four years ago, Ms. Culpepper specialized in Early Music as a soprano. She frequently performed as a soloist at the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, TX, with the University of Texas' Chamber Singers in their monthly Bach Cantata Project. She is a versatile singer who still performs regularly in the New Music and choral repertory; as well as in musical theatre and contemporary styles.
