I am a freelance oboist, reed maker, and music teacher in the Seattle area. My teaching studio is currently based in Everett. I have over ten years of teaching experience and love working with students of all ages. My goals are helping you find a love for playing your instrument and assisting you in reaching your goals--whether that is playing excellently in your school ensemble, preparing for a collegiate music experience, joining in a local orchestra, or just having fun playing tunes! My primary instrument is oboe, but I also have a passion for teaching beginning violin (the instrument which I started on). I have a Master of Music Performance degree from Arizona State University in oboe performance and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Whitworth University in both oboe and violin.

Linnea is very patient and knowledgeable about her instrument. I truly appreciate her working with my daughter on not only her orchestra lessons, but with strengthening her sight reading, how to hold a bow properly, and more. All in 3 lessons. My daughter has already improved. Thank you!
