Experience
Pianist - Instructor
Sep, 1988 - PresentEvergreen Piano Studio
I was formally trained for seven years under the tutelage of Joanne Skidmore in Portland, Oregon who in addition to working in public education, gave individualized lessons. I have taught piano successfully for the past 30 years. In addition to teaching, I have acted as Music Director for several community theater productions in Crested Butte Colorado which included vocal direction and accompaniment for the musicals Annie and Oliver and served as pianist in Cabaret. I was employed by The Portland Waldorf School as classical pianist for the Eurythmy class and have served as Director of Music Ministries, Worship Leader, pianist/keyboardist and Music Coordinator in various churches for the past 17 years. I have accompanied at school concerts, Crested Butte Center For The Arts, Washington Center for the Performing Arts, numerous weddings, and social events. I consider music to be a lifelong pursuit, and continue to further my education by attending pedagogy seminars, college classes and teacher workshops.
