I am really excited that you've decided to take music lessons and are here on my page looking for an awesome teacher. I have lots of experience in music and I can't wait to teach it to someone else, whether they're a kid or an adult.
Currently I am attending graduate school for a Masters in Global Medicine so I can save the world later ;). I've spent a lot of time in school and music has been the one medium through which I have relieved stressed and made myself happy, inspired, and relaxed. While going to school, I also continued my music by being a teacher as well as helping out with the university orchestra.
Started music at a young age of 8, with my first instrument being the Flute followed by the Piano. Because I began music with a teacher who was studying music academically, I have a very strong background in theory, technique, and tone. At the same time, I really think its all about having fun and loving what you play/learn.
I have taught adults and children so I do feel comfortable with any age group. I also have a pretty vast repertoire of different books and pieces that I use for different levels and ages.
My philosophy is for the learning/teaching experience to be a complete collaboration between me and the student. I am tough with certain things because I know they're super important to master but I like to also bend certain rules so that my student is happy with the classes.
I hope to hear from you and if not, I hope you find a really awesome music teacher!
I teach the Piano to beginners and the Flute to beginners-advanced level students.
I also participate in their summer group camps, teaching groups of participants harmonizing, composition, and overall music theory
At Noteworthy I act as a music teacher in group piano classes.
Following the curriculum set forth by Noteworthy, I teach groups of children in different ages to play the piano. The books used for the classes are the Alfred children's and adolescent's series.
I have the opportunity to go to community centers and work with children in a group setting. Each child gets a portion of time during class where they play their piece and get critiques and lessons based on where they are on their lessons.
Work with special needs children and teach them functional, communication, learning, and music skills.
Focusing on student needs and preferences on style of teaching and learning materials has been a huge part of the teaching process for me.
Have learned to cater to different ages of students, through different teaching styles, and practices.
I use my own style of teaching and supplement it with other materials such as adults all in one packaged books as well as books like piano adventures and Trevor Wye.
I have been taking lessons from Lilly for about 5 months now.

Lilly is a great teacher. She genuinely cares about creating a great learning experience. She listens to questions and gives clear answers. She has a natural ability to be un-intimidating and very likable. Lilly is both fun and practical in her teaching approach. I learned and grew in leaps and bounds with each lesson. Thank you Lilly!+ Read More
Lilly is really nice and know how to teach piano. My shy sons are comfortable with her and really excited about next lesson.
Lily was so fun and friendly. My 5 year old, Riley, was at her best behavior for her! I really saw Riley enthusiastic about being a team with Lily. I love the sticker chart for homework.
I love that Lily shared a bit about herself. So fun and interesting and welcoming!
This was only my very first lesson BUT I feel a connection with Lilly already. The only down side was it was over way to soon. Lilly is excited and passionate about music and teaching. I expect to be making beautiful music some time soon.
Nicole (7) is loving her lessons. Lilly is great at teaching young people the basics and inspiring confidence.
My kids really enjoy their lesson with Lily. She is very chilled out, and knows how to charm kids and help them focus during the lessons.
I had my first piano class last week. Lilly was great, talented and patient. I am very much looking forward for my next class!
Lilly is fantastic! I have enjoyed my first three lessons thoroughly!
Brilliant! Just as skilled, kind, fun and patient teaching Piano as she is with the flute. My 5 year old son actually listened and is excited for his next lesson!
I'm an adult and this was my first piano lesson ever. Lilly was great, informative and patient.
Lilly is clearly really talented and passionate about music. She is also a great teacher. After just 1 lesson my daughter already adores her. Would thoroughly recommend
