Piano Lessons in Sacramento - A Music Lover's Delight
By Javier A. – Sacramento Piano Teacher
The variety of music one can find in Sacramento is greater than the flavors found at any local ice cream parlor. I went on a city-wide mission to find exciting places where I might enjoy live piano performances and it soon became obvious that there are enough flavors of music to delight anyone's palette!
Across the street from the State Capitol building, the Westminster Church provides "Music at Noon," a free one-hour concert series every Wednesday. You can bring your lunch and enjoy "food" for your soul as well! Classical, pop standards, folk, opera, jazz, and music from around the world are just a few of the flavors professional performers bring to the Sacramento Scene. If you are taking piano lessons in Sacramento, this is an activity you would certainly enjoy.
The Sacramento Jazz Jubilee is the world's largest and greatest traditional jazz festival of its kind, attracting more than 65,000 music lovers to enjoy some 70+ bands from around the world performing throughout Memorial Day Weekend. One of the favorite places for all to enjoy free concerts here in Sacramento is at Cesar Chavez Park, where every summer for 15 weeks, some of the most talented local musicians perform live. The beautiful new Crocker Museum also provides the community with great performances where families can spend some quality time on a Sunday afternoon listening to intimate recitals by classical and jazz pianists.
As a piano teacher and music lover, Sacramento has been a grand place for me to taste and experience an endless variety of musical flavors. I enjoy sharing this love of music with my students who take piano lessons in Sacramento, and I would love to share it with you as well!
