Hi, I'm Liam.

My story starts two decades ago with a snare drum and a private teacher, the summer before I was old enough to try out for school band. I practiced all summer so I'd be ready. When tryouts rolled around, I conquered. Yes! By the end of the year, we learned a Beatles song. That was the most fun I'd ever had playing the snare drum. I was hooked, and knew I had to start my own band.

Fast forward through years of private lessons, school music groups, rock bands with friends, teaching private lessons, and a degree in Entrepreneurship with a minor in Graphic Design (chosen with the intent to pursue building a touring band)...

In 2010 some new friends and I started a touring indie/alternative band called Not A Planet. For the past 7 years, I've been booking tours, promoting shows, and crisscrossing the country with them, in any of our many past vans.

We accomplished some goals we're proud of: Won awards from International Music Awards & Pitch Music Awards; played with influential artists like Stone Temple Pilots, The Dirty Heads, Matt & Kim; played important stages such as Kauffman Stadium for the World Series, Music Week in Austin, and Boulevardia; signed with Blues Traveler's manager, and worked with producer & Emmy Award Winning songwriter Jacob Bunton.

I'm taking some time now to pass on what I've learned.

Beginning to intermediate students welcome. You will learn to control the sticks, play the simple patterns that advanced drumming is based on, and read music.

Additional education is available in other practical areas of a career in music, such as writing in bands, booking shows, and promoting your music.
