The International Double Reed Society (IDRS) was established in December of 1971 and is a world-wide organization of double reed (oboe and bassoon family) players, instrument manufacturers and enthusiasts. The society has over 4,400 members from 56 countries. Within the United States, 50 states as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are represented.

The College Music Society promotes music teaching and learning, musical creativity and expression, research and dialogue, and diversity and interdisciplinary interaction. A consortium of college, conservatory, university, and independent musicians and scholars interested in all disciplines of music, the Society provides leadership and serves as an agent of change by addressing concerns facing music in higher education.

I'm a Juilliard-trained bassoonist and active performer/educator who has been playing for over 20 years. Whether you've never picked up a bassoon or you're an advanced player, I'm here to help you set and achieve your goals on bassoon. Lessons with me are fun, engaging, and focused on building skills as a musician and lifelong learner. I also offer my students my handmade reeds at a heavily discounted price.

I fell in love with the bassoon when I was eight years old, and it was taller than I was. Now I'm a performer who stays busy recording, playing chamber music, and in orchestra, and a teacher who is passionate about sharing her love of the bassoon with all ages and levels. I have degrees from the University of Southern California, The Juilliard School, and the Manhattan School of Music.
