Learn the art of Irish dance from a certified Irish dance instructor with over 25 years of teaching experience

Riverdance! Lord of the Dance!...Have you ever wanted to learn how to Irish dance but couldn't find lessons near you or maybe felt intimidated to dance in front of others while you're learning?...Maybe finding the time in your busy schedule has been challenging?...I can help! : ) I have been teaching for over 25 years and I am both a certified Irish dance instructor (T.C.R.G.) and adjudicator (A.D.C.R.G.). I have created a successful online learning program that incorporates weekly online class sessions with support instructional videos and music that you can access at times that work for you! It is a self-paced online learning system that moves with you, not ahead of you, where you will find encouragement and accountability while setting goals and meeting bench marks as you journey through Irish dance, music, history and culture. You will start with the basics of what makes Irish dance "look Irish" and you will explore the various rhythms and movements that have captivated audiences all over the globe who have seen shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Irish dance is a combination of group and solo dancing which incorporates both a soft shoe and hard shoe element of dance. In this course you will explore all aspects of Irish dance while addressing fitness and technique challenges along the way using different forms of exercises and drills to support the movement. The course is appropriate for ages 4yrs - Adult! It's never too late to try something new! : )

Lauren is THE BEST and I am so grateful I found such a gem of a dance teacher. I am a professional dancer in Los Angeles who had only taken a few Irish dance classes before I started working with Lauren online in April. With her help, I have learned SO much in only 4 months, and recently passed the first 6 Irish grade exams. She is so patient, encouraging, fun, and her online learning portal and videos are immensely helpful for learning virtually. I could not recommend her enough!
