About Laura S.
I teach in an encouraging, supportive manner and try to work with the student's individual needs. I focus on showing the student how to practice and correct posture. I try to make each lesson different than the last to keep students excited about playing violin.
I always make sure students start with a solid understanding of theory and start each lesson with learning or working on a scale or arpeggio. Then I move into learning or working on a piece and incorporate learning and fixing posture while playing the piece.
I always explain to the student how they should practice at home and review what we worked on at the end of the lesson.
