30 years of Chicago Theatre, Film, TV-- all just one lesson away!
I hit the stage in the mid-1980s and have been a working actor ever since! My acting degree is from the Theatre School of DePaul University in Chicago, where I currently make my home as an Ensemble Member of A Red Orchid Theatre, where we've brought the best acting Chicago has to offer for 30 years. I started in-person teaching in 2019 but the pandemic interrupted that plan so I've been doing one-on-one training over Zoom and now I'm here and looking to reach people just like you. My goal is to make you feel more confident, emphasize the things you do well, and hone your technique to get you the job! I promise you I've seen it all, and I will leave you feeling encouraged and empowered. Every actor has their role to play, and my job is to help put you where your heart wants to go... or it's free! No matter your background or experience level, I've worked with them all, so click on over and let's work together to get you hired! Monologue coaching, resume advice, online scene partner, agent consultation, how to navigate sets and directors and showrunners and stage managers-- I bring four decades of experience to the table. Let's have a chat about it-- and start getting you the standing ovations you deserve!

Lance is an excellent actor and a great coach. I've worked with him, and I have utilized his coaching services as well! He's also a kind, patient, and generous man. I highly recommend him without reservation!
Lance was one of the first acting instructors to call me out, shake me out of auto pilot mode and give me great constructive criticism. The class was only for a short time but I felt he devoted great attention to each individual and met us where we were, which is not easy to do. He has a lot of experience and a wealth of knowledge to share. He was always so engaged and passionate. He cares for the craft and his students. I feel so fortunate to have taken his class.
Lance is an accomplished and compelling actor and brought that experience to the classroom but without any ego. He made the experience about us and the work. To have his name on my resume has made a difference.
