I am a professional trumpeter as well as a graduate student studying to get my masters in music performance! I was a student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was on the BMus Performance course for trumpet – studying with Nigel Boddice and Mark O'Keeffe. At the Conservatoire, I performed with the Conservatoire Brass groups, Wind Orchestra, pit orchestras, and many other ensembles. I strongly believe that art has the ability to awaken the world. At age 10, I picked up the trumpet and never put it down. I'm continuing my musical path to be able to perform for others. When I give music to others, I gain happiness knowing that it has an impact on the world and I want to share that same feeling with you! From 2015-2018, I played with the Denver Young Artists Orchestra performing pieces such as Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, and Mahler’s Fifth Symphony. Having been a part of this ensemble for three seasons, I take pride in the knowledge that I gained during the experience. I also had the opportunity to play in wind bands such as the Colorado All-State band, Colorado State University Honor Band, and the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. Arriving in New York with the Honors Performance Series was a dream come true for me. This experience gave me inspiration to continue pursuing music and sharing it with future generations. When I am not in a practice room, I enjoy photography, playing video games, and cuddling with my cat, Bilbo.
