Raised just 30 minutes away from America's Entertainment Capital, Hollywood, California I have always had a draw to the performance spotlight. I started singing at the young age of 5 and since then, have received training from some of the world's finest instructors, including Tony Award Winner Lisa Seegmiller. I studied music vocal performance at Southern Utah University on a full scholarship with emphasis in opera and musical theater.
Some of my vocal accomplishments include first place winner in musical theater/classical divisions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition in 2005 and 2009 Las Vegas chapter. I made my first television singing debut in 2003 when I was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Paradise Bowl. I have also sung with both the Orchestra of Southern Utah and Southwest Symphony as a soprano soloist in their performances of Handel's Messiah.
My love for the performing arts has given me the drive to teach what I love to others. I opened my very first studio over 12 years ago in Southern Utah while attending Dixie State University. I have since opened studios in Las Vegas, Kansas City area, and finally in 2014 Austin, Texas. In 2011 I was hired as the resident music director for Kids in the Round theater company until May 2013. My students have been cast in lead roles at many regional theater companies across the country as well as projects for TV and film. My young students are regularly cast in lead roles in their middle school and high school productions and selected to be apart of chamber choirs and selective performance groups.
Come and join my studio! I'd love to teach you!
