I am a Music graduate from Hunter College and a native of New York City, where I was once the music director for the Holy Rosary Theater Group. I have performed in various college ensemble and city groups across New York, New Jersey, and Colorado. I also had wonderful opportunities to perform in professional pit orchestras for Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels while living in New York City. I previously performed as the principal horn for the city of Thornton's community band and am continuing my journey in music education with MSU-Denver! As an undergraduate at Hunter College I studied horn with Richard Casparie, music composition with Shafer Mahoney, and piano with Gary Hammond as well as piano improvisation with Dr. Geoffrey Burleson. I have studied conducting during an an internship in New York City with Dr. Adam Vidiksis. I have taken classes at Hunter with Dr. Reuben Blundell and at MSU-Denver with Dr. David Kish. As a continuing music education student I am continuing to study horn with Dr. Alexander George. After moving to Colorado in 2011 I have been substituting for the Mapleton Public Schools District and Adams 12 Five Star Schools. Over the years, I have held several long term subbing positions including: Middle School Orchestra Director - April-May 2013 High School Band Director - 2013-14 School Year I am now a private teacher and the Co-Executive Director for the Broomfield Youth Symphony, a non-profit organization dedicated to making music classes accessible to as many people as possible. My lessons offer every student a unique opportunity to have fun while also challenging them based on how much time they can commit to practice each week. I respond to the needs and the likes of each student and try to play towards those things. I enjoy helping other people, especially through music and truly find joy in it. I love spreading that joy to others and hope to inspire my students to strive excellence in both music and beyond. Thank you so much for stopping by my page. I look forward to meeting with you and creating music together!. Best wishes, Kris For more information, please see www.hbmstudio.weebly.com *** Lesson Details *** I will contact all new students before the first lesson to learn a few things and plan out the first lesson together. *** Studio Equipment *** Stand Metronome Tuner Recording Device Piano *** Specialties *** I specialize in classical music and band repertoire, though I am knowledgeable in popular music and jazz music.

Kris has an appreciation in teaching and a kind heart in everything he teaches. He is an amazing teacher in taking the patience in learning new instruments and expanding the knowledge on the old ones. He is excellent at not only learning the strengths of his students, but of finding the weaknesses and honing in on them to make them better. He takes the time to learn about his student academically, musically, and individually. I encourage anyone who is looking for a music teacher to definitely ask for Kris.

My son has been attending weekly saxophone lessons with Kristopher for about 2 months now, and we couldn't be more pleased. He has helped my son to love playing again, and has been very open to working with my sons learning disability to find the way he learns the best. Mr. Emmanuel re-writes music so it easier for my son to read, and helps him to find music that Nathan is excited to learn. Great music teacher!

Wonderful teacher. Passionate in his teaching and eager for his students to learn. I have never touched a musical instrument in my life before and he's really helped make the learning process fun and easier than one might have imagined. I've enjoyed learning under Kris and highly recommend him to anyone wanting some musical lessons.
