About Kevin Z.
I have a Masters Degree in Violin Performance from Yale University, and a Bachelors Degree in Violin Performance from Rice University. With over 10 years of experience teaching students of all levels and backgrounds, regardless of where you are in your violin-playing journey, let me be your guide in the wonderful world of music! :)
In our lessons, I'm not just teaching you how to play the violin-- I'm also teaching you how to PRACTICE the violin. Remember, it's not about how much time you spend practicing-- it's about how SMART you practice. Smart practice builds a smart violinist and a good musician, and that's the key to success that I give to all my students.
With me, every challenge of learning the violin is broken down into small, achievable pieces. In this way, I give my students the tools and mindset they need to eventually be self-sufficient violinists and musicians-- you can't put a price tag on something like that!
With the violin, as with learning any instrument, every movement has a purpose, and every movement is connected to your body and your mind. I don't simply teach mastery of the violin, I also teach mastery of the body and of the mind. Who wouldn't want that? :)
And with the comprehensive approach is a strong dedication to each student even outside of our lesson times-- I'm easily reachable and always open to answering questions. So what're you waiting for? Let's begin :)
