Practice a new dulcimer tune every day for a year with help from a certified teacher.

The mountain dulcimer is a great instrument to play. One can learn many songs remarkably fast. I usually start with standard folk songs and basic strum patterns. Then the melody can be added later.

I have been teaching for over fifteen years. I play various styles including jazz, rock, blues, classical, country, and bluegrass. Instruments I teach include guitar, dobro, banjo, mandolin, and ukulele. I also teach the Q Chord. I have performed in many different bands including rock, top forty, bluegrass, gospel, and country.
