Acoustic Guitar with Kelsey E.

Hello! My name is Kelsey. I’m here to encourage you that your interests can become more legitimate than hobbies. Music can change the lives of children and adults, so I am happy to teach both! I’ve played guitar since I was very young and started seriously focusing on music when I was a teenager. As a teen, I helped lead worship at my church by playing guitar and singing. Since then, I’ve played at small venues, showing the music that I’ve written myself. (However, stage fright prevents me from continuing with this) I taught my first student in 2014. He didn’t know much at all about guitar, but he wanted to be in his school’s jazz band. I led him through the steps, focused on his strengths, and six months later, he was accepted into the jazz band and they went to nationals! Parents, your children’s interest in music could not only be an effective creative outlet for them, but also a valuable life investment. When I first learned guitar at the age of 9, my dreams of what life could be were awakened. My parents didn’t know how much music would change my life, but the evidence is clear. Now, they are so glad that they gifted me that first, low end, rickety guitar. Fellow adult creatives, nothing is stopping you on your journey from pursuing what you really want to learn, and I’d love to partner with you in taking those steps!
