Kelly was actively involved in music and theatre from a young age, performing in school plays as well as marching, concert and jazz band. She attended California State University Sacramento as a Clarinet Performance Major while simultaneously taking classes in acting, voice and dance in the Musical Theatre Training Program.

Kelly received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from San Diego State University in 2007 and taught for several years before relocating to the bay area to start a family.

​Currently, Kelly is opening a vocal studio in Concord, CA and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). With a strong passion for teaching and seeing her students succeed, Kelly has been praised by students, parents and colleagues.

Credits include opera, operetta, musical theatre and straight theatre. Favorite roles include: Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance and Ida in HONK! the musical.

I specialize in teaching voice for musical theatre. I incorporate acting into the lessons as the students need or interest arises. I teach based on bel canto technique as well as incorporating other methods learned in master class settings and other avenues. I continue my education through independent study and by attending NATS sponsored and other workshops.

My lessons with Kelly were the highlight of my week. She always made me feel comfortable and supported, which gave me the security I needed to progress. Kelly put in the extra effort to find music that I enjoyed singing and songs that would help me stand out in an audition. I highly recommend her as a teacher!!
