I started learning guitar at 14, through informal lessons with family, jam sessions with friends and YouTube tutorials. I earned my Associate's Degree in Music at Frederick Community College, where I took Classical Guitar lessons and participated in Jazz Band ensemble. I transferred to University of Maryland, Baltimore County to study Classical Guitar Performance. In the music program I studied music theory, music history, performance techniques and various pieces of Classical repertoire. My most accomplished moment during my study of classical guitar was my Junior recital, in which I performed 11 pieces in the music hall of my university! My favorite styles to play are classical and acoustic. I enjoy learning about the history behind the classical pieces I play and the unique timbre of a classical guitar. I also like singing and playing acoustic, pop, singer/songwriter styles. My hope is that through lessons, we can work towards your music goals, whatever they may be, and that you have fun and find excitement throughout the process. I look forward to meeting you!

Kaye's videos
Kaye is patient, engaging, and encouraging. She gives simple yet thorough and effective explanations. She will emphasize concepts where you are weak until they are fully mastered. Also, at each lesson she always asks “Do you have any questions? Feel free to contact me at any time.” I can confidently recommend her to anyone who is interested in beginning to learn the guitar or anyone who is seeking to advance their current skills. She is truly a delight to work with!
Kaye is a great instructor! She pays attention to her student, is very detail oriented and is very patient. She goes at your pace, while still challenging you. I've enjoyed my lessons thus far and am looking forward to more lessons!
Very knowledgeable and helpful, I went from picking up a guitar for the first time to learning chords and songs really quick! Lessons were also adjusted based on ability and progress, providing good pacing.
