Everyone can sing and gain understanding of their own voice.

I have been teaching voice for several years and I encourage each student to find their unique voice and to nurture their own sound and artistry. In each lesson students will learn techniques to communicate in a healthy and exciting way! Students begin working on new songs immediately in my studio and work to perform as much as they can!

I am a professional singer with a Bachelors of Music in Voice from New England Conservatory and a Masters of Music in Voice from Westminster Choir College. I enjoy teaching all levels of voice students in a variety of styles. I have training in the physiology of the voice, as well as in many methods of acting and performance and can help students reach their best potential as performers! The most important thing is to appreciate your unique vocal gifts and to enjoy them and learn to use them well.

    Experience

    Music Coordinator and Conductor

    Jan, 2021 - Present

    Queenship of Mary Catholic Church

In this position I coordinate all music selections, manage the accompanist, children's choir director, and cantors, and direct the adult choir. I often use my knowledge of the voice and vocal anatomy, music theory, and diction in this job that I would also use in voice lessons with private students.

    Education Associate

    Sep, 2007 - May, 2010

    Lower East Side Tenement Museum

In this position I was asked to develop exciting and creative lesson plans that utilized many different learning styles in order to reach students of all ages and levels of interest. This is extremely useful in one on one lessons because it helps me come up with creative ways to reach each student! Each student is unique, and new strategies are always useful!
