I am a singer and pianist of many genres of music. I accompanied and sang in all of my high school's choirs. I went on to receive a Bachelor Degree in Music Education and Voice from the University of Akron. I have also completed the coursework for a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting. I am currently the alto soloist at a local church, as well as a soprano in two semi-professional choirs: Singers Companye and Crooked River Chorale. All three of these groups sing many styles of choral music from many different times periods, which I feel makes me an extremely adaptable singer. I was a part of The Cabaret Project that performed at Blu Jazz in Akron, Ohio in December of 2018, and plan on participating in that each time it happens.
My focus has really become healthy vocal technique, which is needed in all genres of music. Whether you want to be a professional musician or singing is just a hobby, good habits will allow you to sing for many years to come. I have learned so much from my amazing choir directors, that I want to share these things with my students so that they can be the best singers they can possibly be.
I am a member of the choir at the Church of the Western reserve. I act as an alto section leader, as a hymn cantor, and as a soloist. I am part of a professional quartet that has been recently established. I stand in for the accompanist when needed.
