I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition and Music Theory from Kent State University and my Master of Arts degree in Music Theory Pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music, a prestigious conservatory-like school. In addition to my focus on music theory and composition, I have studied classical piano for over 10 years. I have many years of experience teaching in both one-on-one and classroom settings. Though I have more experience working with college students, I feel very comfortable working with children and adults. I firmly believe that students should have a fun experience in addition to learning the material. This means that I do not utilize one specific teaching method - instead, I do my best to adapt my teaching to each individual student. I bring a positive attitude to every lesson and strive enhance a student's passion for music. In addition to standard lesson materials, I often allow students to express their creativity through abstract assignments.
