Karen was one of the most impactful clarinet teachers I have ever had. She made sure I had foundations I needed to be a great clarinet player and even went out of her way to prepare me for youth orchestra auditions. I would not be the professional clarinetist I am today without her.

Karen is a truly remarkable clarinet teacher - she taught me for 6+ years, during which I improved tremendously, and was able to get accepted into the top orchestra in my area and also to the California All-State Honor Band three times. Aside from being an excellent clarinetist, she is an even better teacher - she always knows how to articulate the techniques, hand picks the best exercises for improving, and she truly cares about her students. Working with Karen was the best choice I could have made for improving my clarinet skills.

Karen is so talented and has such a wonderful grasp of the clarinet, techniques and equipment. She is very patient, thinks outside the box when working with students with various levels of experience/training. Her suggestions for improving one's techniques work really well and she shows you how to improve at your own speed (for me it was a gradual process). Karen has a wonderful sense of humor and is very encouraging! I highly recommend Karen to any student!
