    About Justin C.

Baritone Justin Colón is an engaging performer of repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary genres, who has captivated audiences with his versatility and charming stage presence. Most recently, Colón has performed the roles of The Music Master in Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos and Mr. Gobineau in Menotti's The Medium with the Miami Music Festival, whose portrayals were labeled as "compassionate" and "appropriately artsy" by the South Florida Classical Review. Other roles include The Badger in Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen, Pandolfe in Massenet's Cendrillon, Count Almaviva and Antonio in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, Aeneas in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, The Husband in Menotti's Amelia al ballo, Marvin in Alec WIlder's Sunday Excursion, Don Parmenione in Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro (with the direction of Philip Gossett), and Giuseppe in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Gondoliers. Colón's most recent orchestral credits include Schubert's Mass in G Major with The Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus of Tennessee and in 2017 he was a featured soloist with the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2010 he performed in concert at the Schumann-häuser in Leipzig and Zwickau for the Schumann-Liederfest. Justin completed his Master of Music degree at Belmont University in 2016 and his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Lee University in 2012. He cantors regularly at the Church of the Assumption, and maintains an active performance and teaching calendar.
