I am a professional opera singer, musician, voice teacher, and piano teacher. I graduated from the Bienen School at Northwestern University with my Masters in Voice and Opera Performance where I had the opportunity to work with W. Stephen Smith, author of The Naked Voice. I also have a Bachelors in Voice Performance from St. Olaf College. I am currently working towards my Doctorate in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy and am extremely passionate about helping each student to reach their full potential. Voice students can expect to be taught principles of evidence-based, pedagogically sound, healthy singing in order to become musicians who can enjoy long and fruitful careers. I have 7 years of experience as a voice teacher and can help any student to reach their singing goals. I teach piano students of all ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano for over 10 years and have taught piano for the last 7 years. I have taught students classically and also have experience with more contemporary styles using chord sheets. As a teacher, I hope to help students to reach their goals and gain lifelong skills that they can carry forward in their musical journey.
