Classical Piano with Jonathan M.

Jonathan M. is a second year master’s student at Longy School of Music. He graduated in May 2019 with a B.M. in piano performance. Jonathan has won prizes in many competitions including Schubert Club Scholarship Competition, Thursday Musical Scholarship Competition, Rochester Music Guild Scholarship Competition, and the Dakota Valley Symphony Young Artist Competition. He has participated in international competitions including the Wideman International Piano Competition, Hellam Young Artists Competition, and the David D. Dubois Piano Competition. Jonathan has also been featured on Minnesota Public Radio as part of Minnesota Varsity. He has performed with orchestras including the Rochester Symphony Orchestra, Dakota Valley Symphony Orchestra, and Southeast Minnesota Youth Orchestra, and was a member of the Penrose trio. Jonathan was a participant in the Young Artist World Piano Festival for 4 years. He has had masterclasses with artists including Nelita True, Marina Lomazov, Boris Slutsky, and Eugene Pridonoff. Jonathan has taught piano lessons at the Rochester Academy of Music, as well as through the Piano Without Borders program in Kansas.
