Trent has over 15 years of experience polishing his music talents. While working towards his Bachelor's in Music, he also played in a touring band and still managed a 3.8 GPA from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Trent's musical talents have taken him touring all around the country. Trent started teaching music right after college and has continued for three years. Trent has high expectations and is skilled in helping his students reach their goals. With a constant effort to maintain a fun learning environment and with a focus on reading skills and solid technique, Trent's students enjoy lessons packed with information and a good time. He teaches beginning through advanced bass, and beginning through intermediate guitar and drums. *** Lesson Details *** A Note From Trent: I am a full time teacher, not someone that does this on the side or when they have time. I LOVE to teach! I carry a minimum of 25 students and as many as 35. I really enjoy my students, I get to do what I love all day and I am sure it shows. I've seen a lot in the past three years: kids, adults, beginners and advanced students. I love being able to share my knowledge with my students. We can study anything from Johnny Cash to Kelly Clarkson. I love getting students to dabble in little bits of all genres, often getting the most skeptical student singing and playing in just a few weeks. My students WILL be able to read music for their favorite songs and understand how to improvise from the start. I encourage all of my students to bring in a CD of their favorite music to their first lesson. It gives me the opportunity to learn more about what they desire to learn and what types of music they enjoy. We will often learn with YOUR music. After all, isn't that why you are coming to see me? I will introduce you to new sounds and styles, but will foster your love for music, and do my best to never force MY music on students. I feel I learn as much from my students when I truly listen to them and their music as they do from me. *** Studio Equipment *** Drumset, 4 and 5-string basses, acoustic and electric guitars, guitar and bass amps, congas, bongos, recording equipment *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide a guitar and amp for the student if needed. *** Specialties *** My educational background is in Contemporary Writing & Production, but on a day to day basis I perform rock, jazz, funk and hip hop. I take pride in creating a well-rounded music experience for my students. Here are a few of the topics I cover: Performance, Ear Training, Harmony, Sight Reading, Instrument Maintenance, etc.

Trent has been great I was a little apprehensive to start guitar lessons at 38 years old but it has been a great experience. Trent is a great Teacher and I would highly recommend him. I am going to try to get my youngest to start guitar and Trent will his teacher as well.
