Guitar Lessons By Jon
Hi there! I’m Jon and I’m a RVA-based guitar teacher and musician. I teach people of all ages and experience levels how to perfect their craft and have fun with the guitar.
As a native of Front Royal, Virginia, I've been involved with music since I started taking guitar lessons at the age of six. I played all throughout my youth, including playing clarinet and saxophone throughout middle and high school. In college, I would continue my musical journey by pursuing Audio Engineering at Shenandoah University. While Music Production was a large part of my education, I also had the opportunity to hone in on my guitar playing as an on-stage performer and session musician. I played in the Shenandoah Conservatory Big Band for over three years and played on more than 70 student-run recording sessions. Although I studied Jazz guitar in college, I regularly play a wide variety of other genres of music such as Blues, Soul, Rock, and Country. I’d love to help you out on your own musical journey and help you find the same love for music that I have!
I teach individual lessons in-person and over Zoom. In-person lessons can be held at my house, or I can travel to your house if that is more convenient for you.
Lesson rates are $30 for half-hour lessons, $45 for forty-five minute lessons, and $50 for hour lessons.
