Acoustic Guitar

Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I believe that learning guitar should be student focused and fun. Each lesson plan is tailored to the individual student based on their goals. I try to make things like theory and exercises both fun and immediately applicable to the music you're playing right now.

I have experience teaching beginners through advanced and ages 5 to 82. In addition to guitar I also teach mandolin, bass, dobro and music theory! Schedule your lesson and let's get you shredding!

John is a natural teacher. He breaks down each concept into digestible pieces that makes it easy for students to understand. I am happy to recommend him to anyone who is interested in learning guitar.

John had me playing fun stuff - Clapton, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty - in the first couple of months, while still managing to sneak in the boring drills and theory in a way I didn’t even notice.
