    About John E.

I have a huge range of interests in the performing arts. At Northwestern, I trained simultaneously in acting, directing, music theatre, legal studies (for fun), and composition/writing. As a director and a coach, I pride myself on creating a positive atmosphere where actors are encouraged to try their best and are safe to make mistakes and try again. Lessons will assess each student's needs as they come and I am excited to work with you at your pace to reach your goals. My lessons involve warm-ups and exercises, working through specific songs/scenes, and providing tips and advice for auditions and self-tapes. I try to make myself available for students and am happy to answer any questions outside of lessons that students may have about what working together will be like!
