    Joe Maurantonio is a well respected martial artist and instructor, known for his dedication to the Bujinkan jujutsu and ninjutsu. Born and raised in New York, Joe's journey into the world of martial arts began at a young age, fueled by a deep fascination with Japanese culture and the warrior traditions of the ninja and samurai. With a thirst for knowledge and a passion for self-improvement, Joe immersed himself in the study of various martial arts disciplines before discovering his true calling in Bujinkan. Under the guidance of experienced instructors like Stephen Hayes and Darryl Caldwell, Joe honed his skills in this comprehensive martial art. Driven by a desire to deepen his understanding of the classical Japanese martial arts, Joe embarked on a various trips of intensive training and exploration in Japan to study with grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi and the Japanese master instructors. Joe founded the Bujinkan New York Dojo with a vision of creating a dojo community dedicated to the study and practice of Bujinkan jujutsu and ninjutsu. As head instructor, Joe brings to his students a wealth of knowledge and experience, guiding them on a path of martial arts training, personal growth and self-discovery. His teaching style emphasizes not only the physical techniques of combat but also the philosophical aspects of the martial arts, instilling in his students a deep appreciation for discipline, integrity, and self-awareness.
