Flamenco Guitar

Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
"best new guitarist in a decade" -- Rolling Stone
the "NEW YORK GUITAR GURU" -- Village Voice

I have been teaching one 12-hour day a week as available since I was a music student at Syracuse University greater than 30 years ago. I was the music school's referral instructor for non-guitar majors.

I have greater than forty gold & platinum artist live and recording credits that range from Bo Diddley, to Joe Cocker to Ringo in a variety of genres.

I have played every major venue in United States from Madison Square to the Hollywood Bowl as the guitarist or music director for the headliner (that means I didn't "share the stage" as an opening act playing for free)

There are videos you can purchase at Guitar or Sam Ash of my last legit tour.

Here is some more information:

4 years of traditional music school

Doctorate

I studied with Sal Salvador, Jack Wilkins, and learned a lot from watching my High School classmate Elliott Fisk (the last guitarist to study with Andres Segovia).

I did what was known as the "special studies program" at Berklee College of Music.

I have taught as a professor when available at 12 colleges and universities including University of California at Irvine, Fullerton College, Volunteer State Community College, Syracuse University, and the State University of New York (multiple schools). I was the faculty chairperson of the music industry program at SAE in Nashville.

I teach rock, jazz, classical, acoustic, and blues. I also teach theory.
