I've been a professional musician and teacher in Los Angeles for 10 years, and I love to work with students of all ages. Taking music lessons should be an enjoyable experience all around, otherwise both the student and the teacher experiences suffer. So, with that in mind, I tailor every lesson to each student. I find and work with their strengths, which then allows the areas that need work to be addressed without having to focus on them. I give each student the tools they need to reach their goals--whether it's to master their instrument, learn harmony/theory, play a song or a whole gig.
*** Studio Equipment ***
At my home studio, you'll find everything you need for your lesson, just bring your positive learning attitude.
*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect each student to provide their own instruments and everything that they'll need to play (so, a keyboard for piano lessons; a bass, amp and cord for electric bass students, etc).
*** Specialties ***
I've used the Music for Little Mozarts and Alfred's Basic Piano Library, as well as mixing in worksheets and exercises to enhance the student's learning.
The methods, styles and genres that I teach are specifically tailored to each student, so what books and curriculum are completely different for each student. What works for some students doesn't work for others, so I work with each student to maximize their potential.
Please understand that I value and respect your time, and I expect the same from each student, therefore, I have instituted at 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your lesson within 24-hours, I will still charge you for the lesson (some exceptions can be made). If you cancel over 24 hours, then I will happily reschedule the lesson. Thank you for your understanding :)
I have sustained myself with music for the past ten years. I have had the opportunity to play with the most amazing musicians all over the country and world. I am an endorsed and sponsored musician, and love not only performing and recording, but also teaching.+ Read More
Jessica - simple the best thing that happen to our 6 year old son!
My son is 6. His is wild, full of energy, chatty ... what's the term .. oh yeah, he is a 6 year old boy. He had another teach who was good and good of him but scheduling conflicts had us look for another ... best thing that happen to him.
His first love is NOT the piano... but he does LOVE his lessons and time with Jessica. He will even practice not wanting to let her down. I'm looking forward to her working for a our son for a long time and look forward to when our 4 year old is old enough to start working with her.
