The National Flute Association, founded in 1972, is the largest flute organization in the world. Approximately 5,000 members from more than 50 countries join together in person, online, at conventions, informally and in forums, through publications and classrooms, in performance, in friendship and collegiality. Guided by its goals to encourage a higher standard of artistic excellence for the flute, its performers, and its literature, members include leading soloists, orchestral players, jazz and world music performers, teachers, adult amateurs, and students of all ages.

As a classically trained musician, I focus on traditional methods of teaching while embracing technology of the twenty-first century.  I concentrate on fundamentals, tone production, scales, and technique with all of my students in order to lay a solid foundation for solo and ensemble repertoire.  Students can expect to work on scales, finger exercises, etudes, and solo pieces on a weekly basis.  Because each student is unique, I tailor my practice requirements and expectations to each player according to age, ability, and goals.

I offer lessons at various times throughout the week for flutists of all levels at 30, 45, and 60 minute intervals.  I can't wait to hear from you!
