Singing with Jennifer R.

Having grown up singing, dancing and acting and training and working in LA and NY, I LOVE watching students grow and gain self esteem. I was classically trained and chose to move into a Broadway Style of singing. I also sing Jazz, Contemporary and Country. Through breathing and story telling, you will become someone who stands out from the crowd. Anyone can sing, but few can tell a story. You will learn how to break down your song, as you would a monologue, so you can, more than adequately, tell your story. Age appropriate songs are important. Being able to relate to what you're singing is an important component in your performance. I expect you to practice, and as you do, you will progress faster than those who don't. I ran my own theatre company for 8 years. Full scale musicals for all ages and an intensive children's program in the summer months. I was the voice of Shadow the Raccoon for the Animated Feature Noah's Park for 20 years. I have also done various radio and tv spots. While teaching voice, I am also a Talent Agent with Johnson Talent Agency, servicing San Francisco and Los Angeles. We are a boutique agency for Film, TV, Commercials, Industrials, VO and Print. I LOVE my jobs. Continuing to teach voice helps me with my creative side, while I submit talent to get their break into this vast world of performing. I hope to get to meet you very soon.
