Piano with Jennifer K.

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I LOVE music!! I've been teaching piano lessons for about 10 years and voice lessons for about 5 years. I really love getting to share my passion for music with others and helping students to develop their own musical skills. I graduated from Trinity Christian College in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Music. In 2015, I completed my Master's degree in Musicology at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Since then, I have worked for a theatre company in San Francisco and as an accompanist for both high school and middle school choirs in Ceres, CA. I recently moved back to Chicago and would love to start teaching lessons again!! *** Lesson Details *** For piano lessons, I will typically use the Piano Adventure series by Faber and Faber. I am also open to working on other pieces a student brings me. I do expect students to reimburse me for the cost of the books they keep. Voice lessons begin with the fundamentals of breathing and proper tone. I will typically select one or two pieces at a time for students to work on that tie in to what they are learning. I also encourage students to bring in suggestions of songs they would like to learn. ** Students MUST have either a piano or keyboard both for lessons and that they can practice on.
