In the lessons, I always take the time to get to know the student's interests and learning style. I like to use warm-up cards, poems, creatures and all kinds of fun things to make the lesson interesting. For extra incentive I also send lesson notes each week, which helps to remind us both what we worked on in the lesson, and what the student is expected to practice. For more advanced students, the lesson notes also include composer studies and music history. When needed or requested, I'll send video tutorials or recordings.

    About Jenna B.

Hey there future violinist/violist/pianist! Let me tell you a little about my musical background. I began teaching while working on my Masters Degree in Orchestral Performance and have loved getting to know so many wonderful students ever since. For two years, I trained under a Suzuki certified teacher at a Private School. When she retired, I took over the program and have been teaching Violin and Orchestra classes (K-6th Grade) ever since. Aside from the Private School classes, I also have my own violin/viola/and piano studio. Some of my students enjoy orchestral music, so I have students at all levels of their local Youth Orchestras. Not all my students are fans of orchestral music though, some of them love movie music, others enjoy fiddle tunes. All of these interests I cater to. My #1 objective is to keep students motivated and loving the instrument. Ever since the world changed in 2020 I have been gradually switching over to virtual lessons, and I've been surprised with the positive results. Please reach out to me if you are interested in starting lessons today!
