Hi! My name is Jeff and I have been playing guitar for 27 years, from classical to jazz, blues, rock, funk, gospel, pop, worship, classical etc. I have played for weddings (ex. Kristin Vietch from the E! network), churches, school show choirs, orchestras, jazz bands, acoustic singer/songwriter, and in rock, pop, local Hawaiian bands, etc. I have been helping people write songs, instrumentally, for 20 years. I can also teach about recording and live sound and performance (effects, stage gear, etc.) In college, I played with many famous jazz artists such as Bob Magnusson, Bobby Shew, Frank Mantooth, Cyrus Chestnut, Charles McPherson and others! All of these people have been great influences in how I act professionally as a musician. I have also played at The House of Blues, the Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo and much more! Let me know if you have any questions about me or my background in music! *** Lesson Details *** I am a laid back teacher but at the same time I will push you to become better and realize your potential! Depending on your goals, we will cover the basics and then move on to learning songs, reading music, playing melodies by ear, learning scales as they apply to lead guitar, the CAGED system ,etc. Whatever style of music you like, we will work together to get you to where you want to be!
