I realize that you have several options available regarding choosing an instructor, but I also have to assume that you would like to hire the most qualified professional to guide you on the musical journey. ¡Hablo Español! I Teach All Ages at All Levels: Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, R&B, Latin, Songwriting, Music Theory, Composition, Arranging for Horns and Voice and Strings, Soloing, Improvisation, Classical Technique, and much much more! I've been playing sax in professional bands (Jazz, Blues, Rock, Disco) since 1984, as well as teaching thousands of students over a span of more than three decades! I am a credited contributor to the #1 best-selling Jazz Theory book "Jazzology" (published by Hal Leonard - the world's largest music publisher), in addition to having almost 20 books published on the subject of music theory and technique! I authored: "Jazz Saxophone Arpeggios" (2014) Internalize the essential finger gestures on saxophone into pure subconscious reflex Here is a review of that book from Professor Wessell Anderson, who toured and recorded with Wynton Marsalis for over twenty years: "This book [Jazz Saxophone Arpeggios] is the most progressive educational device I have ever seen.... it will be on my list this semester!" Also: "Saxophone Scales Volume 1" (2014) The Fastest Way to Master All Your Scales on Sax! And I have many many professional recordings to my credit that you can listen to anytime! Everyone moves further, much faster, and is more likely to stay engaged by learning from a master teacher with decades of real-world professional experience to share. I will give you what you need to know, in order to take you where you want to go! I hope to hear from you soon! Thanks, Jeff

People study subjects for a great number of reasons, consequently I customize my lessons to each individual student's needs and wants. We learn different ways. Some of us are more visual, some more tactile, some more intuitive, some more cerebral, etc. Understanding this allows me to adapt to each person's most natural mode of learning so that the material is grasped more easily (therefore more quickly), and so that it is retained longer. I would be honored to share my experience and knowledge with you.

It was a great first lesson with Jeff. He gave a clear and interesting introduction to what I was to learn. Jeff was patient and adjusted quickly to my learning needs. Can’t wait for our next class!

Had lesson one yesterday. He taught the basics in “tone” right off the bat. Great start! Look forward to more lessons to come.
