Master the acoustic or electric guitar: Bilingual teacher with degree from Berklee College of Music

Whether you're just starting out or want to improve your skills, I will create a custom plan to help you reach your music goals! I have over fifteen years of experience playing guitar in multiple genres and no matter what style you're interested in, I will go over the underlying basics of it and show you how to make it your own. I mostly do lead guitar myself and can go over improvisation and how to figure out songs/solos, as well as fingerpicking and styles more suited for acoustic/classical guitar. A big part of my lessons is figuring out music that you like and showing how to play it and practice it effectively.

Hi! My name is Javi, I was born in Argentina but my passion for music brought me to the US when I was 18, where I studied professional music at Berklee College of Music. After graduating I moved to California and have been working in several aspects of music, including composing for advertisements and visual media, recording as session musician, playing in multiple projects and wedding bands around the LA area and writing and recording my own music. Since the beginning of the pandemic I've been teaching through Zoom and found that I really enjoyed it, teaching mostly guitar and piano as well as music theory. I've also helped students writing their own songs and recorded them at my home studio, as well as successfully preparing a student for auditioning at the Orange County school of the arts.

Javier is really patient and attentive. He points out immediately if I could be doing something better and answers all of my questions succinctly. I'm really glad I found him to help me jump-start learning how to play guitar.

Javi was an amazing instructor and patient. He was precise with showing me the scales and ways to be perfect my fingers with the guitar. I would recommend Javi to anyone beginning their acoustic guitar journey. Thank you Javi!
