Hi All! 

For those of you out there who are unsure about whether lessons are for you, or worried in general about singing in front of other people, I'm here to tell you that not only do I think you can do it, but I think you will end up surprising yourself and your loved ones with the talent that you have.

The goal for every lesson is to make sure you become comfortable with mistakes, comfortable working through the process, and proud of the results you get at the end. This is a lesson with no judgement and no expectations other than for you to be you and give it your best shot. There is no homework due at each lesson and I will always provide the most patient and supporting atmosphere possible.

I teach an open throat, mixed voice method, and have over 10 years of experience in live musical performance settings; from church venues, to dive bars, to the House of Blues San Diego, and everywhere in between. Through it all I've learned how to practice, how to setup and balance instruments and equipment, how to steel nerves for shows, and most importantly how to impart a unique mood and atmosphere through singing and playing guitar. I think every time you sit down to play, you can create a moment that speaks to people in a moving way. My lessons are centered around you being able to reach that point, where you can start a song and people will stop what they are doing and be moved to listen.

Jason is a really good teacher and he always gave great tips in order to improve the singing!

I am almost 6 months into lessons with Jason and I have learned so much. I can't say enough great things about him and his teaching style. He's kind, patient, knowledgeable, methodical, encouraging, prepared, professional, and caters his lesson to your personal needs. I wanted to do an updated review on my lessons with Jason so far. I am now a few months in to singing lessons ( starting from scratch), and still would highly recommend this instructor.  Lessons are progressive, and catered directly to what my end goal is. I've learned about techniques and concepts that I've never heard of, since I'm a beginner, and they are explained in ways any one can learn to apply them. Jason uses the time allotted to really focus on your individual learning style and makes the most of every minute. The authenticity of his personality helps you feel comfortable to allow yourself to make mistakes so you can laugh and have fun while you grow.

I have zero singing experience and am starting from scratch. Very self-conscious and nervous. I've had a few lessons with Jason and he makes you feel able, and also comfortable. He is accommodating and constructive with advice. Very professional, patient, skilled, and In tune with your needs. And has gone above and beyond to help my specific needs.  I highly recommend Jason no matter if you're experienced or think you can't learn to sing, he has helped me progress each lesson.

Jason was fantastic for my beginner daughter! I was a little skeptical about online training, but I was wrong! He is very knowledgeable in his craft and kept my children's interest the whole time. Strongly recommend him!
