Jared is awesome. I signed up my dad for some lessons--someone who is sort of anti-social and stubborn, but is into learning guitar. Thankfully, Jared is patient and a dedicated professional that impressed my dad. Jared's experience, passion and dedication to music was apparent and was a great help in getting my grumpy dad to gain skills--like learning how to read music within 3 lessons! Jared's got a great ear and even though the lessons were online, he attentively corrected my dad on wrong notes and best of all encouraged him further to practice and explore. Thank You Jared!!!!

I’ve been working with Jared for a year & have grown more than I thought I would and also have fallen in love with creating music more than I thought I would. For context: I signed up for lessons on a whim one day because I happened to have a guitar that had been my father’s. I was raised on rock, but never played. I thought I’d try it out and maybe quit after a couple lessons bc I get bored easy and it was just spur of the moment…however I was caught off guard by how much I enjoyed playing! It’s one of my favorite things now, I couldn’t imagine not having music in my life. Another thing I didn’t expect is Jared taught me songwriting and before working with him I had never written a song & truly thought it was the most mysterious/puzzling thing…now I write songs constantly and it has become a really important outlet for me personally. Jared is really patient and kind and sets a chill tone in lessons. He is not only a very talented guitarist, but he really knows his theory and can answer any question that comes up. He’s also very accessible if I have a question during the week which is so nice when doing distance learning. I’m excited to continue working with him, especially since next he’s gonna teach me to shred ;)

To put it in simple words: Godly teacher To go deeper: I started lessons with Jared in 2021. After a year of playing, I felt pretty confident but limited. I hit a plateau and couldn't better my playing, or increase my speed. I couldn't solo at all, I had no music theory, and my technique was terrible. I booked lessons with Jared, and on the first day he started to correct my technique as point out my mistakes and how to correct them. He didn't throw difficult topics or theory at me, but built my skill and knowledge slowly. Jared has always went into depth and always checked for understanding. He has never been condescending and has always been kind. He's always made our lessons fun, I've always enjoyed them. If you are looking to get lessons, Jared is an amazing choice, and you will definitely get your money's worth.
