Learning how to sing using your natural, uninhibited voice involves simple steps, like proper breathing and placement. All of these are simple - it just takes someone to remind us of unnoticed tension and reinforce good habits.
With me, you'll learn sight singing, music theory, and vocal pedagogy, all while tailoring to your personal tastes and goals. Let's get in touch to see if we're a good match!

I'm a professional classical and jazz singer, arranger, and choral conductor. My singing and arranging can be found on many award-winning professionally recorded albums, and I currently direct a vocal jazz quintet out of NYC. I studied voice at the University of Connecticut after discovering my passion for music.
I believe that music is a human thing, and that the most important step for any musician to take is to connect their music to their humanity. This allows the musician to truly affect the people that listen in ways that last long beyond the performance. Plus, when we stop thinking about all those technical things, our natural musicianship is allowed to take over. Music is a way for us to connect to ourselves and help others do so, too!
I've learned that a combination of technical foundations and spiritual focus results in the most nuanced singers and musicians. Let's start the journey together!
Hyannis Sound is a professional male a cappella group based on Cape Cod. We performed at over 100 shows each summer, and leading the group helped me learn how to teach friends and colleagues in the most effective and positive way.
