I am a multi-instrumentalist with over a decade's worth of private instruction experience and thousands of lessons under my belt. I've helped musicians of all ages achieve their goals and develop meaningful relationships with music that continue to this day. I cater to the skill and understanding of each student and provide custom arrangements of musical pieces and comprehensive educational content in the form of sheet music and tablature. I'm confident in using my resources and experience to help enrich the lives of anyone looking to enrich their creative journey.

About Jameson B.

I'm a multi-instrumentalist with 15+ years of experience in composing, performing, improvising, and private instruction. I specialize in guitar and tenor saxophone.

I grew up in a small town in Arkansas called "Mountain View" which is often called "The Folk Music Capitol of the World". I learned many styles of music (including folk and bluegrass), but most notably found my voice in jazz, indie rock, and pop. I later went on to study jazz guitar and saxophone at the University of Arkansas where I pursued a degree in Music Education. I was a member of the marching band, wind symphony, jazz band, saxophone ensemble, and guitar studio.

After college, I was on the road for several years touring with several rock bands and settled into a private teaching gig where I help upwards of 40 students a week for nearly 4 years. In that time, I developed progressive curriculum, worked on several albums, and helped students of all ages achieve musical goals (including All-Region/All-State placements, college scholarships, and community roles).

I now work primarily as a composer and self-published artist. I'm always adding to my portfolio and enhancing my communication techniques to better the world of music education.

Music lessons from Jameson Burton don't simply teach you an instrument. You learn music. There is no other instructor that I hold in such high regards in terms of teaching the whole student. If you want to learn to be a musician and go beyond simply learning to play an instrument, then study under Jameson Burton.

I took guitar lessons with Jameson for over a year, and I don't regret it! He's a talented musician and a great teacher. In particular, I really appreciated his willingness to go as fast or as slow as I needed, his deep understanding of music theory, his enthusiasm for using music as a way to bring people together, and his generally humble and relaxed disposition. 10/10, would recommend.
