Guitar with James P.

My name is James Palestrini and I have been a guitar teacher since 2002. I graduated college with a Bachelors of Music Performance from the University of Georgia in 2004. In 2007 I received my certificate to teach music in Georgia. And ever since then I have been the part-time director of the guitar program at Roswell High School in Roswell, GA. I love being part time because it allows me the flexibility of teaching private lessons which I truly love doing. I teach out of my house in Marietta and have also been dabbling in doing virtual lessons online. I have a pretty sweet setup for doing this now and I'm ready to take it to the next level. I see so much potential in virtual learning and truly believe it is the future of schooling in any subject. I use Google Classroom as a hub for all of my private students musical resources and communication and it works wonderfully. I record videos of a lot of the songs that I teach so students have a record of the songs they learned in case they forget anything I told them in our lessons. As far as styles go...I can play most styles of popular guitar music. But my specialties are rock, blues, and classical. I have been playing for 27 years and it defines me as a person. I look forward to teaching you!
