I am a guitarist, singer/songwriter, and recording artist with an accomplished career as a professional musician. With over 13 years of experience working in the industry as lead and rhythm guitarist for various rock, metal, country, blues and pop bands, I have a versatile understanding of guitar technique cultivated through years of having to study and prepare for live performances and studio sessions.
My credentials are many and varied, and include several Audio Engineering certifications from the Berklee School of Music, with a focus around ProTools based recording workstations. In my time as a professional musician, I have been fortunate enough to play the National Anthem at public sporting events around Metro Detroit for the Pistons and Lions. I have also had the opportunity to be a part of numerous stage productions with a variety of bands and artists such as Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker.
I teach guitar to students of any age or experience level. It is my personal belief that anyone can have a fantastic experience with music through a study of guitar and guitar method. I aim to teach my students not just how to play, but how to really feel and understand the music they love to listen to through a structured study of their favorite musicians, and the music theory behind the methods they use. For this reason, I personally tailor every student's course with specific exercises, scales, chords, theory, and songs to help each student reach their individual goals. Whether it's playing their favorite folk and country songs, or shredding their axe to pieces, I love helping and watching my students grow as they sharpen their skills and become more proficient at expressing themselves.
