Viola with Jachai W.

I am a freshman at Kennesaw State University majoring in music performance on viola. I've been playing for 10 years now on viola and about six and violin. Very serious and dedicated practitioner. I love the viola so so so much. I went to Roswell High School and Elkins point where I actually seriously started playing. It was actually in my 6th grade year that I started to seriously play and advanced within my instrument. I started on viola and I have played ever since. I've gotten comfortable with the mechanics of it since it's so different from violin. As a musician there's a lot of stuff that goes into trying to Excel in a short amount of time but my motto is quality over quantity so the more efficient you are within a small amount of practice time the faster you'll advance. It's pretty simple actually. I didn't have private lessons at all until I actually hit College. Through the years I've had like a few lessons here and there with different professional view lists but never consistent legitimate private lessons with a tutor. I'm glad to say that because I practice so much that I've been blessed to play as well as I do. Talent goes a long way but practice gets here across the finish line. A lot of people often ask me how I play so well and I never had private lessons. My answer is always that I have the passion and I had the talent. Talent was 10% of My Success. The rest of it was practice dedication and motivation. When you have that willpower there is no doubt that you will get to where you want to be. It's all about perspective.
