    About Isabella C.

    Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Isabella moved to Los Angeles in 2015 and graduated from the University of Southern California in May 2019. She worked to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Choral Music and a minor in Music Production from the esteemed Thornton School of Music. She sang in the USC Chamber Singers as an alto for three years under the direction of Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe and performed major works such as Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna at Walt Disney Concert Hall with Carl St. Clair and Mozart’s Requiem with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. Isabella also toured with the Chamber Singers to the Baltics and Poland in May 2018. Isabella is passionate about conducting and has had the opportunity to pursue both choral and orchestral conducting during her degree program. She studied choral conducting with Dr. Cristian Grases and Dr. Tram Sparks and studied orchestral conducting with Prof. Sharon Lavery. Isabella has also been a conductor of the USC Choral Lab and led the USC Concert Choir for a portion of the choral department’s Undergraduate Leaders Concert Series in April 2018. Along with her academic work, Isabella served as the Music Ministry Intern at the USC Caruso Catholic Center for two years, where she was in charge of liturgical music planning and conducting the Schola Cantorum. She is also an active member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and has served as the Vice President, Choral Lab Coordinator, and Secretary for the USC ACDA Student Chapter.
