To tell you a bit about myself, I am originally from New York where I earned my degree from the Arts and Sciences College at Cornell University. I have studied music at Cornell, Hunter College and Mannes College, and have sung and played piano since my youth. I have been taught by jazz and classical pianists, including world renowned concert pianist, Xiayin Wang. My own professional performance career spans some fifteen years and counting.
For the past several years, I have specialized in piano teaching because I love to embark students on new journeys of musical discovery at the piano! I teach students at my home studio in Westfield where I have an acoustic piano. My specialty is serving beginners through intermediate students who are up to practicing. My students have gone on to shine in talent shows, recitals, bands and anywhere else where they choose to make music.
An everyday piano lesson with me incorporates piano improvisation, educational games and apps, music theory and, of course, plenty of fun music to take home and practice! It is my passion to make music come alive for others, and I would love to help you or your loved ones reach musical goals at the piano.
I play piano/keyboard/organ and cantor at Masses. In addition, I sub for other organists and pianists.

I actually don't play the piano but Isabel also plays the guitar and she gave me some tips how to play my ukulele. She was very patient with me and this probably translates to her teaching other instruments.
Isabel is such a very talented lady! When I met her a few years ago, I only had a touch of such talent. I love learning so many cultural things from her through our friendship. She has a beautiful gift of music, art, languages and much more that she continues to share with others and I am very grateful to be one of those receiving her amazing gifts!+ Read More
Isabel is a superb teacher who brings out the best in her students! They come in with a rudimentary knowledge of music and, over time, their musical abilities come to flourish thanks to her patience, encouragement, dedication and insight.
Isabel is a talented, caring, driven, and warm teacher whose passion for music radiates out into her love for her students. In this way music becomes a reflection of generosity for Isabel, a way of connecting people. Highly recommended.
