Saxophone with Ini E.

I perform regularly in the St. Louis area and throughout the United States. I have been playing the saxophone for 15 years. I am a member of the St. Louis Big Band and I am also a member of local jazz fusion group, Spaceship. I primarily play the tenor saxophone, but I am comfortable teaching soprano, alto, and tenor saxophonists of all ages and skill levels. My lessons are suited for beginner through intermediate students. I meet each student where they are musically and apply the appropriate instruction for their current level. I think that learning an instrument should be enjoyable. Regardless of skill level, my teaching style focuses on making sure each student has a firm grasp on the fundamentals required to play the saxophone. My lessons will cover tone production, posture, intonation, music theory, and any other topics the students feel they need help in. Although I mainly perform jazz oriented music, the concepts I teach will apply to any style of music the student wishes to play. For those interested in improvisation, I am more than happy to teach improvisational topics as well. These topics include: ear training, scales, learning tunes, rhythm studies, listening skills, and more. I look forward to helping you become a better saxophonist and musician!
